The guides that operate out of Blacks Camp will take trips for any species of fish you want to fish for. We will be glad to recommend a good , experienced, personable captain who is from this area. Only the most reputable charter captains fish out of Blacks Camp. Your guided fishing trip will be a private party (your group and the captain only). Catfishing trips are done from large Tritoon boats up to 30’ long, Bass trips are done from bass boats, panfishing is done from smaller pontoons (24 to 26’) or fiberglass boats. The charter captains use boats suitable for the species of fish you are after. The only rule is that you have FUN! They supply everything except for your food on the boat (which you can order the night before at Blacks if you like), fishing license, and fish dressing. Prices are as follows: $300.00 for the first two people, $50.00 for each additional person, maximum of six people per boat. Trips usually last eight hours or a limit of fish, whichever comes first. The captains that fish out of Blacks Camp are conservation minded and limit parties to one cooler of catfish per trip. ( A BIG cooler full ! ) See SCDNR for other limits. Catch and release is recommended for fish over 40 lbs.
